The BSS Course is organized at IASO Thessalias twice a year and is addressed to young doctors of all medical specialties, as well as med students in their last years of school who have decided to pursue a surgical specialty. It has been designed to introduce young surgeons to safe surgical practices within a controlled lab environment.
It is an intense seminar on basic surgical skills, such as basic laparoscopic techniques, suturing techniques, etc. Each trainee is given the chance to use state-of-the-art equipment under the guidance and supervision of top surgeons who have received special training from RCS consultants.
The Course aims to teach, evaluate and certify the skills of trainees in applying safe surgical techniques commonly used in surgical procedures.
