The Trilogy linear accelerator of the American company Varian, is the most modern technological equipment that science has to offer to the international market, with the possibility of upgrading for all future developments.

Radiation is a treatment option for destroying cancer cells. It causes destruction of the cells in the radiation field, through the damage of the genetic material, so that further growth and cell division become impossible. Only cancer cells located in the area of ​​the body (field) receiving the radiation are affected. It is sometimes used to shrink a cancerous tumor before surgery or to destroy the remaining cancer cells after surgery, alone or in combination with chemotherapy.

The planning of the treatment is carried out by a state-of-the-art simulation machine, the CT Simulator by Siemens, which locates the radiation’s exact field, ensures the reliable entry of the beams of radiation into the body and monitors the progress of the treatment.
