Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of IASO Thessalias, having as a Scientific Director Mr. Nikolaos Andreopoulos, Maxillofacial Surgeon, is staffed by specialized medical and nursing personnel, providing high quality diagnostic and therapeutic services. Our services cover a full range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in compliance with up-to-date practices. We offer a personalized treatment, without imposing further mental and physical stress on the patient and their family. Procedures will be performed both on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia or intravenous sedation and in the operating room with general anesthesia.

The experienced and highly trained staff of IASO Thessalias provides full support for the maxillofacial surgical treatment of patients with heavy medical history (patients with heart conditions, patients with diabetes mellitus, immunocompromised and oncological patients, patients on anticoagulation therapy or patients with hematological diseases) as well as people with disabilities.

In collaboration with the other surgical departments of IASO Thessalias (General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Neurosurgery, and Plastic Surgery) and the state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, our department provides immediate, specialized and well-organized care to all trauma patients with maxillofacial fractures with the aim of complete restoration of their health.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department is on call 24 hours a day for the immediate treatment of any diseases and conditions of the oral and maxillofacial region.
