On the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day (Thursday 20 October 2016), IASO General spreads the message “We feel strong...We’re healthy!!” and offers a screening test, consisting of a Free of Charge clinical examination by a highly trained Orthopedics or Rheumatology Specialist and a Bone Density Measurement, at the special price of 30€.
The Free of Charge clinical examination will be performed at the Osteoporosis Office of IASO General, and, where applicable, a fracture risk assessment will be also carried out (FRAX index).
All those interested in the offer can schedule their appointment over the phone at +30 210-6502569 & 662 (08:00-15:00) by Wednesday 30 November 2016.
Osteoporosis is a chronic metabolic bone disease characterized by gradual bone density and quality reduction, resulting in fragile and thin bones over time. This in turn causes increased fracture risk, as bone strength and elasticity are compromised. According to the National Osteoporosis Society, 1 in 2 women over 50 years of age will suffer from osteoporosis and experience one osteoporosis related fracture in their lifetime –in men, the respective rate is 1 in 5.
