The Quality Management System of IASO Group’s Clinics is certified according to the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 since 2012, by the reputable and internationally recognized Certification Body TÜV Hellas (a subsidiary of the German Certification Body TÜV Nord Group).

The Assisted Reproduction (IVF) Units of IASO Group’s Clinics have developed and are implementing a Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the Standard ELOT EN 15224:2017. The Quality Management System is applied to all Departments of IASO Group’s Clinics, with the aim of providing safe and high-quality healthcare services to our patients. The Quality Management System of the IVF Units is certified according to the Standard ELOT EN 15224:2017 since 2016, by the reputable and internationally recognized Certification Body TÜV Hellas (a subsidiary of the German Certification Body TÜV Nord Group). The IVF Units of IASO Group’s clinics are among the first assisted reproduction units in Greece to receive this specific certification, which is also stipulated by the legal framework (Presidential Decree 10/2016, Ministerial Decision 6901/2015), for Assisted Reproduction Units and related Cryopreservation Banks.

Temos International Healthcare Services, based in Germany, was founded in 2010 and is the only international organization focusing on the quality of international patient management with regard to both medical and non-medical services provided. To this end, TEMOS International has developed the international standard “Standards – Quality in Medical Care – For Hospitals”, aiming to assess and optimize hospitals’ medical, nursing, and support services for international patients, as well as to ensure compliance with safety and clinical effectiveness requirements for all patients.

IASO Group’s Clinics have developed and implemented a Quality Management System that fully complies with the requirements of the TEMOS International standard. Since 2013, IASO Group’s Clinics have been successfully assessed in accordance with the TEMOS International “Quality in Medical Care” standard, confirming the high level of healthcare services provided to all patients.

This assessment is of particular importance for IASO Group, as TEMOS International standards have been expanded to cover a broader range of healthcare providers’ functions and processes. Furthermore, TEMOS International’s specialized assessment standards and programs have been validated and approved by ISQUA EEA (International Society for Quality in Healthcare – External Evaluation Association), an internationally recognized body, widely known as the “evaluator of evaluators” in healthcare services.

TEMOS International has developed the international standard “Standards – Quality in Reproductive Care”, which focuses on state-of-the-art treatment, care, and management of women and couples receiving assisted reproduction services, while also meeting the requirements of international patients traveling for cross-border healthcare. The standard applies to both standalone units and clinics offering in vitro fertilization and assisted reproduction services, addressing the needs of international patients and placing special emphasis on the legal, cultural, and ethical aspects of care. It also ensures optimal clinical and laboratory outcomes, promotes high-quality patient care, and minimizes potential risks in line with medical ethics principles.

The Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit – Institute of Life IASO has developed and implemented a Quality Management System that fully complies with TEMOS International requirements. Since 2015, the MAR Unit – Institute of Life IASO has been successfully assessed according to the TEMOS International “Quality in Reproductive Care” standard, confirming the high level of services provided to its patients.

Since 2013, IASO Group’s Clinics have been designated and recommended by the Diplomatic Council (DC) as “Best Hospitals Worldwide 2014”, a distinction that has been renewed and remains valid to date under the status of “Preferred Partner Hospital”, highlighting the organization’s continued preference for IASO Group’s Clinics. The Diplomatic Council, headquartered in The Hague, is an international strategic think tank, comprising members who are distinguished figures from the fields of diplomacy, politics, industry, arts, and sports.

This recognition follows the quality certifications and assessments of IASO Group’s Clinics, including their successful assessment in accordance with the standards of TEMOS International for quality in medical care, as well as their certifications by TÜV Hellas (TÜV Nord) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and EN 15224:2017 standards, confirming the high level of healthcare services provided and their state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Since 2015, the Institute of Life IASO – Assisted Reproduction Unit has been designated and recommended by the Diplomatic Council (DC) as a “Preferred Partner Clinic”, confirming the international organization’s continued trust and preference for the Unit. This recognition reflects the long-standing commitment of the IASO Group to quality assurance and patient safety, as well as the systematic evaluations and certifications of its clinics. Specifically, the Institute of Life IASO has been successfully assessed according to the standards of TEMOS International for the quality of medical care, while also holding certifications by TÜV Hellas (TÜV Nord) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ELOT EN 15224:2017, which substantiate the high level of healthcare services provided, the modern infrastructure, and the well-structured operational processes of the Unit.

The Central Laboratories of Medical Biopathology, the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory and the Cytology Laboratory of IASO Clinic have developed and are implementing a Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 15189:2022. The aforementioned laboratories of IASO Clinic have been accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) based on the ISO 15189:2022 standard in relevant Parameters according to the Official Scope of Accreditation of the Central Laboratories of Medical Biopathology with Certificate No 1245-1 and the Official Scope of Accreditation of the Cytology Laboratory with Certificate No 1371.

The central kitchens of IASO Group’s clinics have developed and are implementing a Food Safety Management System in accordance with the requirements of the standard ISO 22000:2018. The Food Safety Management System is implemented under very strict hygiene and safety conditions, in order to provide safe and high-quality meals to patients of IASO Group’s clinics. The Food Safety Management System of IASO Group’s Clinics is certified according to the standard ISO 22000:2018 by the reputable and internationally recognized Certification Body TÜV Hellas (a subsidiary of the German Certification Body TÜV Nord Group).

Since 2007, the Stem Cell Bank of IASO Group’s Medstem Services S.A. has been operating under the accreditation awarded by AABB (formerly American Association of Blood Banks). Within the framework of the accreditation audit, an assessment of the bank’s laboratories is carried out by AABB assessors and its performance on a medical, technical and administrative level is certified. During the audit, the quality system and the operations of the bank are inspected. Obtaining the accreditation certificate is proof that the bank meets or exceeds the requirements of the accreditation standard.
