It is the most advanced Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) system worldwide and the only one in Greece. It is the flagship of the Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy Unit, as it has comparative advantages over obsolete machines.

IASO General Clinic has created a state-of-the-art hybrid center for the treatment of urolithiasis in a specially designed space, which incorporates all the modern trends in urology. The center is staffed with specialized medical and nursing personnel, providing even complete treatment of lithiasis, both in terms of prevention, diagnosis and monitoring, as well as treatment of the disease.

This system, depending on the selected imaging mode and the adjustable patient height, automatically defines the exposure and imaging parameters, as well as the field of the ionization chamber. The focal point, the voltage and current of the X-ray tube are selected by the system in such a way as to minimize the risk of radiation exposure to the patient and personnel. Very importantly, it does not cause any damage to nearby organs.

DICOM images can be received and delivered to the patient, in excellent quality. It stores images by sending them to a PACS system (patient record). It has a C-arm flat-panel with comparative advantages over all the other systems. The focus size can be selected between 3 sizes and lithotripsy is possible throughout the entirety of the urinary tract.

The unique rotation facility of the stationary X-ray system creates sufficient working space above the patient, an unlimited field of view and free access to the table. This means that the MODULITH SLX F2 CONNECT with its integrated lithotripter is the only system on the market that meets all the demands of a modern, urological X-ray workstation.

The system has a unique pediatric program for treating children. With this program, an additional radiation filter is activated. It has preset image acquisition settings for optimal imaging within the framework of the intended use for extracorporeal lithotripsy, for endourological procedures such as ureterolithotripsy – nephrolithotripsy – percutaneous nephrolithotripsy. Stent placement - removal - cystoscopy – TURP, TURB, urography are carried out. The lithotripsy results are impressive, due to the advanced, latest-generation shockwave ultrasound technology, combined with the large focal depth and large head surface.
