IASO: Robotic Surgery in Gynecology Workshop
The “Robotic Surgery in Gynecology Workshop”, will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 09:00, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.
The training seminar is organized by IASO and its program includes lectures and participating in a Hands-on workshop, where participants are given the opportunity to train on the state-of-the-art robotic system Da Vinci Xi.
Robotic Surgery has now been integrated into all surgical specialties, as it combines the advantages of minimally invasive surgery with surgical precision, and open surgery with freedom of movement. Therefore, Gynecology could not be excluded. The increased precision of robotic surgery allows for a wide range of gynecological procedures to be performed safely, quickly and with minimal complications. In particular, in selected conditions of the female pelvis, such as in cases of challenging anatomy, robotic surgery proves to be valuable, resulting in safer resections, with minimal handlings and a reduction in the need for transfusions. As a result, every woman is offered the opportunity of a painless postoperative period, with the least possible pain and the least possible complications. Robotic surgery covers the entire range of gynecological conditions that require medical treatment.
The seminar is addressed to Obstetricians - Gynecologists, as well as Perioperative Nurses, who would like to get to know the robotic system.
The Workshop’s Scientific Director is Mr. Konstantinos Lathouras, PhD, Gynecologic Surgeon – Oncologist, Director at IASO Oncology Center.
You may participate and attend the seminar for free and the participants will have the opportunity to attend it in person or view it through IASO Group’s website at a later time. Pre-registration is required for the Hands-on Workshop.
