IASO: Conference about Obstetric Hemorrhage and the Placenta Accreta Spectrum
IASO, through its Department for the Treatment of Placenta Previa & Placenta Accreta Spectrum Cases, and in collaboration with the Hellenic Association for the Study of the Uterus – Placenta is organizing a pioneering Conference on the topic: "Obstetric Hemorrhage - Placenta Accreta Spectrum: Management and Treatment Step by Step", which will take place on Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at 09:00 a.m., at the IASO Event Hall.
The Conference’s Moderator is Mr. Stavros Fotopoulos, IASO Operating and Delivery Room Coordinator, Director of the IASO Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) Treatment Department.
The Conference’s program includes speeches and interactive attendance of PAS (Placenta Accreta Spectrum) surgeries on the 1st day, while on the 2nd day, a Hands-On workshop, where training in techniques of Hemorrhage identification and control is provided, with training in Hemostatic B-Lynch Sutures and Bakri Balloon placement. As part of the Hands-On workshop, the participants will be given the opportunity to watch in small groups recorded operations on PAS cases, along with simultaneous commentary and discussion by the invited Professor José Palacios Jaraquemada and Mr. Stavros Fotopoulos.
