IASO: Hybrid Scientific Conference by the Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department

IASO Hospital’s Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department in collaboration with the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP), organizes the Hybrid Scientific Conference on the topic "Colposcopy, Cell Biology, HPV tests, Biomarkers, Algorithms and Scoring system in the management of patients with cervical pathology", on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at IASO Hospital’s Events Hall.

The scientific director of the Conference is Mr. Evripidis Bilirakis, MD, PhD, Obstetrician / Gynecologist, Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, Clinical Professor of the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus, General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP), Head of IASO Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department.

The aim of this Conference is to analyze the full range of the new molecular diagnostic techniques that have been introduced internationally, for the purpose of screening, prioritizing, as well as the management of cases which are related to sexually transmitted diseases and cervical carcinogenesis. These new techniques constitute the most modern approach utilized by specialists in terms of both prevention and treatment and have already been introduced as diagnostic tests at IASO Hospital.

The Conference is addressed to obstetricians – gynecologists, but also to health professionals, such as obstetric care and nursing personnel, as well as students of Medical and Nursing Schools. During the Conference, distinguished Professors with enriched scientific background will present the latest developments in relation to Cervical Pathology and HPV-related carcinogenesis internationally, but also in Greece.

The attendance of the Conference will be feasible both in person, by taking all the necessary measures required by the health protocols against COVID-19, or online, via Live Streaming.
