IASO is the Gold Sponsor of the 2nd Scientific Symposium on Assisted Reproduction
The 2nd Scientific Symposium on Assisted Reproduction “New Horizons in Assisted Reproduction-IVF” will be held on 10-12 January 2019, at the “Megaron-The Athens Concert Hall”. The scientific event is organized by the Scientific Society of Assisted Reproduction “Conception of Life”.
The Presidents of the Organizing Committee of the Symposium are Messrs. Panagiotis Psathas and Konstantinos Kostaras, Obstetricians/Gynecologists, Assisted Reproduction Specialists, Founding Members of the Assisted Reproduction Center “Institute of Life-IASO”, and the President of the Scientific Committee is Mr. Themis Mantzavinos, Assoc. Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Athens, Scientific Director of the Assisted Reproduction Center “Institute of Life-IASO”. The International Scientific Coordinator is Mr. Dominique De Ziegler, Professor and Head, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Foch Hospital, Paris, France.
IASO will be represented by distinguished scientists, who will participate as speakers and coordinators, and will discuss with the most experienced directors of Assisted Reproduction Centers on the latest developments, achievements and results of research programs conducted recently, both domestically and abroad.
Specific fertility issues will also be dealt with, from ovulation induction to luteal phase support to advanced newer techniques such as in vitro activation of ovarian tissue, first laboratory-developed human egg, in vitro therapeutic gene modification, as well as newer data on the wider use of "Spindle Transfer" in clinical practice.
On Thursday, 10 January 2019, at 20:00, the Opening Ceremony of the Symposium will be addressed by Mrs. Marianna Vardis Vardinoyannis, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the “ELPIDA (HOPE) Friends’ Association of Children with Cancer”, who has gained global presence and recognition in the struggles for our wellbeing and cultural heritage. Also, Mr. Georgios Chrousos, Professor of Pediatrics & Endocrinology, Director, Research Institute of Maternal and Child Health and Precision Medicine, University of Athens, will deliver the opening speech.
