The 15th Athens Colposcopy Training Course
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 15th Athens Colposcopy Training Course - European Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Seminar, which will be held on 15-17 June 2017 in Athens. The “hands-on” session will be held on Thursday 15 June 2017 at 09.30 at IASO Clinic, 37-39 Kifissias av. Maroussi, and the theoretical part of the seminar will be held on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June 2017 at the Athens HILTON Hotel.
The need for approved training in colposcopy is common among many European countries, and it is to that direction that we continue to focus our attention and efforts. The year 2017 marks 15 consecutive years of training in colposcopy; for this reason, this Training Course has an anniversary character.
According to the President of the seminar’s Organizing Committee and Chair of IASO’s Scientific Board, Professor Emmanouil Diakomanolis, great emphasis shall be placed on the treatment of premalignant lesions of the lower female genital tract, and especially on the uterine cervix and vulva. The 2016 program has been revised and now has a new structure, aiming at the practical training of the participating physicians.
Some of the best trainers from abroad and renowned Greek colleagues will be present again to assist in this training effort of our country’s Gynecologists.
The European Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Seminar, held on an annual basis, is now a point of reference for Greece. It is fully accredited by the European Federation for Colposcopy (EFC) and the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), and is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP).
