2nd Panhellenic Conference of EGEPAM, Friday & Saturday 16 & 17/12/2016

The Hellenic Gynecologic Society for Breast Disease (EGEPAM), in cooperation with IASO Private Hospital, organizes the 2nd Panhellenic Conference of EGEPAM “Dilemmas and antitheses” titled “Breast Screening, Diagnosis and Monitoring – Views and Guidelines for the non-specialist”, on Friday and Saturday, 16 and 17 December 2016 at the Events Hall of IASO Hospital, 37-39 Kifissias avenue, Maroussi. The Conference is held under the auspices of the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Athens. Six (6) Continuous Medical Education credits (CME–CPD) shall be awarded to the participants by the Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS).

Breast cancer constitutes the most common female malignancy and breast screening is an integral part of the gynecological examination process. The objective of the Conference is the establishment of guidelines for physicians not specialized in breast diseases, mainly gynecologists. For the purposes of the Conference, renowned scientists from all Greek University Hospitals have been invited to share their knowledge, experience and the latest developments in this field.

 

 

The opening of the Conference shall be addressed by Messrs:

  • Dimitrios Loutradis, Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Chief of the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of “Alexandra” Hospital, President of the Hellenic Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (HSOG)
  • Dr. Nikolaos Linardos, Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Doctorate awarded by the University of Athens, President of the Hellenic Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (ENMGE)
  • Emmanuil Diakomanolis, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Athens, President of IASO’s Scientific Board

Mr. Konstantinos Dimitrakakis, Gynecologist – Breast Surgeon, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Athens, Chief of the Breast Unit at “Alexandra” Hospital, shall be the Scientist Responsible for the Conference.
