Scientific events on diabetes mellitus held by IASO General’s Internal Medicine-Diabetes Clinic & Diabetes Center
The Internal Medicine-Diabetes Clinic and the Diabetes Center of IASO General are organizing Scientific Events for the comprehensive update of the public upon Diabetes Mellitus issues. The Events will be held on Friday 12 and Sunday 14 June 2015 in Vrachati, Korinthia (Alkyon Hotel) under the auspices of the NGO “Guided by Diabetes – Diabetes Card” and the Medical Association of Korinthos.
The Event to be held on Friday 12 June is primarily addressed to instructors and all those involved in the field of healthcare (nurses, pharmacists, dentists, health visitors, etc) and will provide updated information on Juvenile Diabetes (insulin-dependent diabetes, type 1) via practical training on complications management. The Event to be held on Sunday 14 June will provide information on Diabetes type 2 with simultaneous practical seminars such as nutrition, foot care, physical exercise and psychology of the diabetic patients and their families.
On Saturday 13 June, a Study Day on Diabetes Mellitus will be hosted by the Hellenic Society for Primary Healthcare Research and Continuing Education (HSPHRCE-EEEP), in collaboration with IASO General’s Internal Medicine-Diabetes Clinic & Diabetes Center, under the auspices of the Medical Association of Korinthos. New data will be presented on the prevention of complications and therapy, covering the whole spectrum of the disease, aiming to the information of the local medical practitioners. The Study Day is addressed to physicians and 6 CME-CPD credits will be awarded to the participants.
