Advanced Pediatric Life Support Course - APLS Maroussi, 03/06/2015
APLS Hellas and IASO Children’s Hospital are holding the Advanced Pediatric Life Support Course (APLS) on Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June at 08.00 a.m. at IASO.
The Course is addressed to nurse practitioners, medical specialists and trainees involved in Resuscitation and Advanced Life Support procedures for Children and Infants and includes lectures, “hands-on” skill stations, tutorials and teaching and participation in simulation case scenarios.
Following the successful attendance of the Course, the candidates will be certified as APLS Providers by the Advanced Life Support Group in UK, an essential requirement for someone who wants to work in a Pediatric Hospital either in a country of the Commonwealth or Europe./p>
The APLS Course, through interactive training techniques, educates both on a theoretical and a practical level on:
- prevention and treatment of cardiorespiratory arrest in children and infants
- implementation of initial management strategies in life-threatening situations or traumas in children and infants
Mr. Arsenios Georgiadis, Pediatric-surgeon, Chief of the Department of Pediatric-surgery at IASO Children’s Hospital, has the Scientific Responsibility of the Course.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits shall be awarded to the participants by the Panhellenic Medical Association.
