Scientific Study Day on Obstetrics and Gynecology. For the first time, Birmingham and Midland Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (BMOGS) chose Greece and IASO for the year 2015

 

Annually, the Birmingham and Midland Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (BMOGS) chooses one European city to host its study day, where renowned scientists discuss upon the current advances in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. For 2015, BMOGS, in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of IASO, are holding a Study Day on Obstetrics and Gynecology, on Friday 24 April 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at IASO Clinic’s Events Hall, 37-39 Kifissias Avenue, Maroussi.

Among others, the following subjects shall be discussed:

  • Revolution or Evolution? The role of robotic surgery in Gynecology
  • Estrogens & Depression
  • Dilemmas in prenatal chromosomal diagnosis
  • Fertility preservation in patients with cervical cancer

BMOGS’s eminent speakers shall be Messrs Professor Khaled Ismail, MSc, MD, PhD, FRCOG, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Birmingham, Miss Esther Moss, MRCOG, MSc, PhD, Gynecological Oncologist, University of Leicester, Mr. Joseph A. Jordan, Founder Chairman of both the BSCCP & the European Federation for Colposcopy, Former Chairman of the FCPC and Professor John W.W. Studd, Former Professor at the Imperial College London, Former Chairman of the British Menopause Society.

The Scientists responsible for the Study Day are: Mr. Emmanuel Diakomanolis, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Athens and Ms Susan Blunt, MD, FRCOG, Consultant Gynecologist, Birmingham, Chairwoman of BMOGS.

IASO Clinic shall be represented by distinguished scientists Messrs Vassileios Lambrinoudakis, Professor Emeritus at the Department of Archeology at the University of Athens, Konstantinos Pangalos, Clinician – Geneticist, Pediatrician, Professor of Medical Genetics, Collaborator at IASO and Alexandros Rodokalakis, Associate Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Athens, 1st Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology at the “Alexandra” Hospital.

The participation to the study day is free of charge and the official language is English.
