Centurion Vision System

Centurion, in combination with the new Active Sentry phacoemulsification handpiece achieves eye pressure control during cataract surgery. A special sensor located inside the phacoemulsification handpiece continuously monitors pressure changes inside the eye and instantly transmits the command to the phacoemulsification device to take the necessary actions to maintain a steady intraocular pressure, thus creating an extremely stable and safe environment for the surgeon, minimizing the chances of complications. At the same time, the application of low thermal energy but high efficiency of the ultrasound for the fragmentation of the cataract, contribute to the least possible strain on the eye. Thus, the period needed for the patient’s full recovery is reduced to a minimum.
