IASO: IBUS Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions Course

The IBUS Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions Course will take place for the   13th year   in Greece and will be held from Thursday, June 12th, to Saturday, June 14th , 2025, at IASO Hospital .

The   IBUS Course is organized by E.M.E.I.S. (Scientific Society of Mastology–Treatment and Support) and the IBUS Breast Imaging School and it includes high-quality educational presentations from members of both the international and domestic academic community, as well as hands-on workshops. The Scientific Director of the Course   is Mr. Grigorios Xepapadakis, MD, PhD, Breast Surgeon, Director, 2nd Breast Clinic, IASO.

The aim of the course is to improve the breast imaging standards for the assessment of its pathology, covering the field of ultrasound imaging, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and other recent and evolving examination techniques. Furthermore, within the framework of the hands-on workshop, the participants will attend a live surgery where intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) will be used, as well as marking of non-palpable lesions using both new and long-established techniques. The course is addressed to breast surgeons, gynecologists, radiologists, oncologists, ultrasound specialists and clinicians with basic and advanced knowledge with regard to breast diseases, as well as doctors of other specialties who use ultrasound on their patients in the context of detecting, diagnosing and treating breast conditions.

The Course includes high-quality educational presentations from members of both the international and domestic academic community, as well as hands-on workshops for gaining experience.
