We would like to inform you that IASO’s Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department, in collaboration with the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP) and Specialized University Centers both in Greece and abroad, is organizing a Scientific One-Day Conference on the topic: “Cervical pathology: HPV tests, biomarkers, algorithms, colposcopy & screening and triage scoring system”, on Saturday, February 17^th, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The Scientific Director of the conference is Mr. Evripidis Bilirakis, MD, PhD, Obstetrician - Gynecologist, PhD Holder of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, Clinical Professor of the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus, General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, Head of the IASO Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department.

The purpose of the conference is the analysis of the full spectrum of new molecular diagnostic methods that have been introduced internationally, aiming at the management of cases related to sexually transmitted diseases.

Specialists in the pathology of the lower genital tract, both from Greece and abroad, will discuss the modern diagnostic techniques, as well as the importance of the personalized treatment of cervical pathology cases. The pathology of the vulva and vulvodynia, the vaginal microbiome and the role of dysbiosis, vaccination and new indications, but also the treatment of the prematurity risk after therapy constitute some of the topics of the one-day conference, in addition to the presentation and discussion of numerous interesting cases.

The Conference is addressed to Obstetricians – Gynecologists, Cytologists, General Practitioners, Molecular Biologists Midwives and Nurses, as well as students of Medical and Nursing Schools.
