IASO Hospital’s Nursing Department is organizing the 3rd One-Day Breastfeeding Conference on the topic: "Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a difference for working parents" on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 8:30 a.m., at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) has been established by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) and since 1992 it has been celebrated annually on August 1-7. In our country, Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year on November 1-7. This action is supported by UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Ministries of Health in many countries. It is a campaign that aims to raise awareness among citizens and health professionals on issues related to breastfeeding and its promotion, aiming to achieve the goal set by WHO, of 50% of infants being exclusively breastfed by 2025.

The theme of this year's World Breastfeeding Week is:

"Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a difference for working parents"

For this year, WBW will focus on breastfeeding and work, providing a strategic opportunity to advocate for essential maternity rights that support breastfeeding.
